Streetworker Field Supervisor
Service Description:
A Streetworker’s mission has three overall missions: first off, to connect those young people most overlooked to the services they may be in need of through intensive street outreach; secondly, to provide crisis intervention and advocacy services on an on-call basis; and thirdly, to develop a peacemaking process between those youth that are most often involved in street violence.
Specific Responsibilities
Qualifications
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environment; flexibility to work hours as program needs change; ability to provide own transportation; associates degree preferred/equivalent outreach experience accepted; bi-lingual/bi-cultural (Southeast Asian, Latino/a) preferred; significant experience working with young people; strong leadership, organizing & facilitation skills; strong comfort level in approaching teens in various different situations; ability to laugh at oneself a must.
